Larry's Story
Life
I left California in 1986 with a wife, a new pickup, and a little money in the bank for graduate school. Lived in Texas for 3 years and have since settled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We NEVER intended to stay here, but 2 children, decent careers, and solid friendships have kept us here for the last 18 years. I expect we'll stay at least until the kids finish school (my sons are 1...Expand for more

Besides, I'm now one of 2 waterfowl biologists for the state of Louisiana, which was the career choice I made in 1981 after 2 years at American River Junior College wondering what I was going to do with my life. My goals weren't lofty, and I'll never be wealthy, but it's interesting, meaningful work to me. In both work and family, I'm looking forward to the next few years.
