Larry's Story
WOW, what to write... OK, most of you that know me, know that I loved to party and often times to excess. Well, in 1989 after another bout with the "Law," I decided to grow up a little and... when I did, life became very interesting. Not that my life wasn't interesting or dull but, my life took a whole different turn.
Before 1989, I had been several things in my life, an alcoholic, a drug addict, a plumber's helper, I helped build drag racing car chassis', I was a little league baseball coach, concrete worker, construction laborer, metal building erector (iron worker), boat motor mechanic, marine parts manager and owner of two businesses.
Since 1989 and straightening up, I have been involved with my tribe's (The Delaware Nation) politics, both nationally and locally. I am currently involved with the tribe's election process and seeking the court's remedy to seat three people who won their election but, the incumbent's are refusing to leave.
I have been afforded the opportunity to travel the USA extensively lacking New Hampshire and Vermont to have been to all 50 states and, I h...Expand for more
ave traveled to S.E. Asia as well. WOW, what an eye-opener to see other parts of the world. It helped me to realize how sheltered we are here in the USA and what a great Postal Service we have. I send a Post Card from Papua, New Guinea back to Anadarko, OK. The postage on a post card was almost $6.00 USD and it took over four months to arrive here. Also during my travels, twice, I had a hard time getting through customs here in the US. Once in Hawaii and once in Chicago. Dang, they almost didn't let me back in. ha ha ha I had to go through both, body and baggage searches. My hair was really long then. Down to my waist and I didn't fit their business profile. ha ha ha
I met with Presidents, Vice-President's, Sultans, Kings, Prime Minister's, actors, actresses, billionaires, millionaires, Ambassadors, Generals, common people, street people, all walks of life, both good and bad. Life is continuous adventure.
I'm living in the country near Ft. Cobb, OK where I can go to get back to nature. .
Well, now you have the "READER'S DIGEST" version of Larry Snake's life. ha ha ha
