Larry's Story
So....WOW! Almost 30 years has gone by and I'm not where I thought I would be, but who is? Got Married when I was 21...that lasted about 9 months but I learned a lot (like stay away from crazy women, no matter how good looking). Met Cynthia when I was 24 and adopted her 3 year old from her previous marriage. Couldn't have kids of our own (had scarlet fever in 9th grade, they said there was a chance I wouldn't) but raised Tisha as my own (actually, she raised me, just ask her). I've been hell on wheels most of my life, refuse to grow up but still talented enough to make a few bucks. Started out digging holes and studying about business and management on my own. Cyn lets me get away with a lot, gives me a lot of freedom, lets me do what I want, when I want, then reels me back in. Been together 22 years. Spent most of our time in Oceanside/Carlsbad before moving to Murrieta about 6 years ago. We also have homes in Louisiana and Palm Springs. We've spent a lot of time sailing, and even lived on a Force 5...Expand for more
0 sailboat when our daughter was about ten, great times! Currently we spend a lot of time on our 60' symbol motoryacht. Cyn doesn't like it much but I just don't have time to sail places anymore(she REALLY doesn't like the fact that we burn 30 gallons of diesel an hour!). We had a small development and Building company that cyn ran while I kept my day job in project management for a large (Fotune 500)electrical contracting co. Believe it or not, she knows her way around a construction site and has even drawn many houses from scratch to finished plan check set. There were a lot of times when I wanted to quit and join our company full time, but now I'm glad I didn't with the economy the way it is. Company is pretty much shut down now and Cyn is in real estate and doing really well. Life goes on, I'm in great shape, still party like a rock star (minus the illicit drugs), just takes more vitamins and sweat to recover now. I've got lots of great stories and memories to look back on, so, I guess life's O.K.
