Laura's Story
At the 10 yr. reunion I had 4 kids and a husband. Now I am a widow with 10 grandchildren. I'd love to reacquaint with my high school friends. My oldest grandkid just turned 14 and the youngest just turned 4 months. There are 3 girls and 7 boys and I love all of them. I would love to get in touch with anyone who remembers me from high school and the 10 yr. reunion. I've lived in Ckolorado twice and this is my second time to live in Utah. I am in Riverton, which is south of Salt Lake City, before Provo. My oldest child is 32, then my son is 30, my third is 28 and my youngest is 25. My husband was a registered nurse when he died in 2007 from natural causes. I have been putting my life back together since then. I love socializing and making new friends, especially people, men, my age. I have the email address, or snail mail. For someone who really wants to expand a friendship, I have my cell phone number to share, once we reach that level. I love scrapbooking my many photos and memories, sewing crafts and projects. I love reading good books or listening to them on CD. I love going to the movies with my adult kids. The most recent were Robinhood, Shrek 3 in 3D and Ironman2. A couple of months ago my favorite was How To Train Your Dragon. I love great conversations and going to church on Sundays. This month is the Colby family reunion south of Richfield, UT. I love watching all the Law and Order episodes, especially the ones with Lenny Briscoe. I love the CSI shows and NCIS, and NCIS Los Angeles. my landlord's 5 cats adopted me when I moved in Dec. 2009. His name is purple. I love puppies/dogs too. I'm waiting to get a dog/companion as soon as possible. I don't know how I ever survived living in the hot Arizona desert. I love the 4 distinct seasons we have where I live, at the base of the Oquirrh mountains, by the copper mines. I'm working on a second manuscript about life and what I know of it. I wrote my first one in 1995. I am sure all of you lead much more exciting lives than I do. My youngest daughter wants to take a road trip around Phoenix, where my sister Karen lives, and out to Kearny, then Dudleyville where my dad and his wife Doris, live. My brother Tom works and lives in Bagdad with his wife. I'll write more later, seems to be my best talent.....
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a marvelous idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Going shopping and spending lots of money.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Pepsi, chocolate, and friends to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My mother, who passed away in 1996, is my hero. She was a great mom to me and my friends. She put up with alot from me and was an awesome grandma to my children. And she made the best homemade bread ever!
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Debbie Young, because we told each other everthing..
Law and Order and more Law and Order on TV. I love indoor cats and dogs. I'm not much of a fan of sports but I'd pick basketball to watch. And I obsessed with being a published writer one day and do a book signing session.
