After graduating from hhs, i worked in my dads company in farmingdale, a commissary for coffee trucks. In 1980 I decided to go to college SUNY Brockport, upstate. My parents renovated the summer house in southold and moved there by 1983, the next year(1984) my mom passed away from cancer, my dad 6yrs later(1990) from a massive heart attack.I had gotten married in 1985 and we divorced in 1990(although we still, to this day remain friends) needless to say, at almost 30yrs old I was devastated. During this time I had worked as a dental assistant in southampon, I repair and refinish wicker and wood furniture, then became a driver for UPS. I remarried in 1991,to a local guy not knowing much about him.
