Laura's Story

Life Well, after 44 years I am still single. I hate it, but that's the way it goes! I have a great job, two wonderful kids, my own home and lots of friends. I am in my 11th year at the bank and kind of looking to move on to something else now. My son is grown and has a son of his own so that makes me a grandma! My daughter is going into 2nd grade this fall so that makes me still a soccer mom! I am happy with my boring little life just the way it is and hope that all of my old classmates are happy too. Things haven't changed a whole lot, I'm 46 now, still with the bank, still a grandma and still a soccer mom. Just recently my son Zach was killed in a car accident so I am trying to work through that. Several friends from school expressed their sympathy and it was very comforting to know that people still care. I have settled into my job at the bank and will probably stay there for some time to come. I am looking to get a new home for my property but am not sure how soon that might happen. I hope by rejoining Classmates, I will get to visit with some old friends again. Another update, I got the new house!! It isn't quite finished, but almost! My daughter and I are very excited. We both wish Zachary could be here to share this with us, but we're sure he's watching us from heaven. I think I had an old email add...Expand for more
ress on here, so if anyone was trying to reach me, they probably couldn't. It has been updated, so please drop me a line and say hi!! We are settled into our new home and now we have to get the landscaping done. I'm pretty useless when it comes to that, so I may just look into hiring someone to help me. School I miss the security of school. I miss all the people in the halls, the noise, the confusion, the chaos-it was great! I know you can't go back again, but it sure would be fun to do the time travel thing and just go back to see it all again just the way it was. I miss Mrs. Naru, she was one of my favorites. I'm glad to be where I am now, but I really liked school. I had crushes on so many guys! I wonder if I had told any of them if it would have changed anything? No, probably not, but one can always wonder! I feel badly for those who have no fond memories of school-that must be so sad. I hope everyone is doing well out there and finding their own happiness. Our old stomping grounds are nothing but a memory now. My daughter is in the middle school now which is a brand new school, but when we can, we go to the high school and check out the class pictures that are hanging in the halls. She gets such a kick out of them! I get a kick out of them too because they bring back so many memories. Good and bad.
