Laura's Story
I worked in the dental field for several years before meeting my husband. Oddly enough we met in VA, when he is from NC. We had a short engagement, about a year, then married on the day we met. We move to Morehead City, NC while Rodney finished his military career. We then moved to Graham NC while Rodney worked as a police officer and I found odd jobs. We bought our first house in 98, and enjoyed the freedom of owning a home and having no kids. What a great time we had together. The we had our first child, Chloe, in 2001, weeks later our country was attacked and our lives changed. Suddenly I felt the strong need to grow up. I stoped smoking, and found my way back to the main man in my life. God has always been in my life but now He was on the front burner & not the back one any longer. kids and life together for awhile. Our lives in NC was becoming more and more settled and awsomely predictable. I was back in shape after having 2 kids and ready to have more. 2006 along comes Luke (9lbs,& no drugs during delivery, not my choice). After 2yrs I understand why God only gave me 1 son. November 2007 brings me to my last child Laura-kate(8lbs4oz, again no drugs, again not my choice). Sadly my husband chose to end our child bearing years after Laura-kate, but I'am greatful, thankful and honestly blessed. I have the most loving , caring, best friend as a husband and 4 of the most beautiful children to ever grace this earth.
