Laura's Story
Life
If I were to pick an object that would describe me it would be an orange. I am like a big, juicy, succulent orange that is eaten in the library on a winterÂs day. I donÂt mean IÂm big like Large Marge or Big Bertha, but big like if you saw me at the grocery store, you would want to put me in your basket because you would know that I have a lot of good inside of me. Some may call me fruity, but really it is because they donÂt Âget me or they are just the serious types that have to be constipated all the time. When an orange is peeled in a library, its odor permeates and fills the whole room. One canÂt help but to just crave that orange. With me, once people understand my humor they want more. In a way, my humor is like that orange filling up the gray cold day. I am funny and bring brevity and joy to a lot of situations. You now how oranges have a lot of Vitamin C, well, I provide an important nutrient to my world and that is laughter...Expand for more
. Laughter is my Vitamin C; it brings health to my life. I live for the cacophonous giggle. Also, on the outside an orange is just an ordinary round piece of fruit, but on the inside it is sweet, and juicy, yet at the same time it can be sour and tangy. That is me; I have a lot of depth to my personality. My thoughts and feelings go deeper than what you see on the outside. I reveal myself to you as you gradually peel away what is on the surface.
School
I have the fondest memories of driving down the back roads of Pinole Valley during lunch time. Usually we would all pile in Steph's(craziest driver) big, green car, and go for joy rides. In the later years, senior year, we would get in Kevin's van and ride down the road. Jennifer and Kevin used to switch driving while we were in the process of driving. That always made me nervous, and once, we almost got in an accident because of it. Back then driving was fun because it was new and a cheap thrill.
