Laura's Story
In high school I was in band and two choirs, but after graduation I moved to South Carlina, where my husband was stationed. I got to listen to music and sort of dance (never was the best at that), but didn't play much music and sang only in the church, car, or shower.
Married twice, but not since '92. Earned my graduate degree, before that was a firefighter paramedic for a municipal fire dept. I was in Illinois for a just a few years and when I came back, things had really changed here.

acher, after working a few years for engineering firms. I still love to sing and play music, so I am in two choirs now, and find that to be my greatest joy. It's nice to know that I can still do that.
Flowering plants are one of my hobbies; I really love to see blossoms, but I don't like to cut them.
I'm also an appointee of the county government, which takes a lot of what little free time I have, but I was reared to believe in civic duty. I'm working on my doctorate now, so I may never get out of school either.
