Laura's Story
What I've done since school, geez! Lets see -- after graduation went to JCCC for around a year, but couldn't decided what I really wanted to be when I grew up. After that I worked, did plenty of playing, and too much drinking.
In 1985 I married my 1st husband, had a daughter in 1987, then another daughter in 1990. That marriage was doomed from the beginning, and finally collapsed in 1994. During that time though I worked in the hazardous waste field, worked my way into Director of the US division of Records & Finance. I was residing in Paola during that relationship.
In 1996 I sold the house in Paola and moved back to Olathe. In 1998 I met my 2nd husband, whom I married in 1999. I also had another daughter in 1999, and decided to become a stay-at-home mom. In 2001 my husband was transferred to Florida, where we lived in the Fort Lauderdale area for 2 years. In 2003 we transfer...Expand for more
red to Indiana, which is where we presently live.
We have 12 acres, 1 old farm house, barns & out building, and 2 fishing stocked fishing ponds. I love my animals and at present have dogs, chickens, horses, and cats. We are getting ready to add some pigs, cows, and goats! I married a man that loves animals probably even more than I do, and we really love our little farm.
I haven't gone back to work yet, but decided as my mid-life crisis to go back to college. I am getting ready to graduate with my Associates in Information Systems, with a concentration on programming. I am planning on continuing for my bachelors. My oldest daughter graduated this spring from Purdue with a bachelors in Computer Engineering. My middle daughter is working full-time after graduating from high school last spring. And my youngest is still in grade school.
Well I think that just about raps that up !
