Laura's Story
Life
I have fond memories of Okinawa and would love to take my husband back there. I left Kadena, Okinawa in the summer of 1969 when we moved to Andrews Air Force Base, MD. I met my future husband, Perry, in 1970, at Surrattsville High School. We were married, in 1971, the year we graduated. We have 2 children, Teena, 34yrs and Eric, 29yrs. I am a RN and work in an exclusive retirement community in Solomons Island here in Calvert County, in Southern MD. My husband is a Lead Line Mechanic for Potomac Electric Power Company. Our hobbies are collecting guns and old cars, he has a 1956 Chevy Belair (streetrod) and I have a 1965 Mustang Fastback (almost all original), fishing, boating, gardening and anything that has to do with our grandkids.
