Life After graduation, I attended Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. I studied poli-sci and English (somebody had to) and after graduation, I decided it might be fun to join the Marine Corps. I was right, it was fun. I was stationed at Little Creek Naval Base for some training, and Camp Lejeune, NC where I was with the 8th Motor Transport Battalion. And even though I made many requests, I never got to go anywhere - frustrating!! I opted to leave the Corps when my daughter was born - who is now 15, believe it or not! That was a tough decision, but really the best one for us both. I lived in South Florida for 9 years - where I worked for Circuit City for four years, a yacht company for four years and a local WB affiliate TV station for a year. I met and married my hubby (a.k.a. Mr. Wonderful!) in 2004 and am now in Texas (which I actually really like a lot). Our son was born in October 2005 - he's so awesome! (12 years in between kids is kinda crazy - it's like having a first all over again). I've been a stay-at-home mom for the past 4 years; and after working & being a single mom for 9 years - it's been a wonderful experience. I'm so blessed to be able to spend this time with my children & focus on my family. School I always laugh when I talk to people who went to big schools - or were military brats (like my husband) who went to several different schools - because I can still name so many of the people I went to school with (from kindergarden to gradutation) without a whole lot of effort - even today.
