Where does the story begin....I married classmate Rick Schick in 1975. We had 2 sons (Tom & Dave)- both now married. No grandchildren as of yet. We divorced over 11 years ago. After our last move together, I decided it was time to find a job again. Many, many years out of the work-force doesn't lead to many opportunities. I had a short stay with a home repairs company - I scheduled the various sub-contractors and kept the books. Then one evening, when on a trip with the high school band with my son (Tom - tuba player), I got to talking to the driver and she suggested I learn to drive a bus. Sounded good at the time. Plenty of free time, better than average pay and best of all, time off when the boys were off. So I got my CDL and drove a 7 ton vehicle around. Not really as bad as it sounds, and it led to some rather interesting stories and many fond memories. But in 1997, we divorced and I had some serious choices to make. I needed a career, not a job.
