Laura's Story

Life My updates-Spring 2005- I'm living in LaPlata Maryland now. I still haven't found my home in the country , but I'm getting closer. I've started looking for land in the hill country of Texas. Not sure why, just feel I should be there, someday. I am still a nurse but now I go into the patient homes which I find very rewarding. I am able to help people who otherwise would be lacking. I can actually see where I have changed things for the better, working in the hospital didn't make that outcome so evident. I have been able to do a fair bit of community service by sponsoring blood drives for the Red Cross, it really it difficult to get people to donate. I am currently working with my office on ways to improve patient outcomes. My children are Sean (11years), Stephe...Expand for more
n and Kayla (8years)- All I can say here is "time flies". It seems like only a few minutes ago they were babies. Now those precious babies talk back and have opinions. They are turning into beautiful little people. I don't have much free time. So of course it seems reasonable that I have two horses now. I am working very hard to balance my "real life" and my "fantasy life". "Real life" is definately getting more play time. Being in a new home I'm back to doing a lot of landscaping, but that's ok, I find it is good for me. I love being outside, just to be in the sunshine. I got a Kayak this year and I'm looking forward to taking her on her maiden voyage soon. I got maps of the local waterways in MD and VA and I'm learning to navigate, after all, I am the captain.
