Laura's Story
Life
After finishing Lamar High School in 1992, I went to the University of North Texas, Denton from Fall 1992-Summer 1994. I majored in Music-Vocal Performance. I had lots of fun there and met many other talented musicians!
My fate took me into another direction entirely! In the summer of 1993, I went to go visit my father in Germany. There I met, what I thought at the time was, the man of my dreams. I decided to go to Germany and study nursing there, so that he and I could be together. We were thrilled when I found out that I was offered a Praktikum at the St.Vincentius Hospital in Karlsruhe, Germany. I went on to study nursing there from Apr95-Mar98. I now have my nursing degree (RN). The relationship with my "German love" wasn't all that we hoped it would be, so we broke up and stayed friends. I still, however, decided to stay in Germany.

s time for a change! From May01-Jun05, I walked in my mother's footsteps (she was a flight attendant for American Airlines). I worked as a Flight Attendant for Lufthansa German Airlines, based in Frankfurt, Germany. I had alot of fun seeing enormous amounts of the world, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Bangkok, Tokio, New Delhi, Bombei, Dubai, Isthambul, Alma Atha, New York, Miami, Washington D.C., San Francisco, L.A., Rome, Munich, Berlin, Zurich, Athens, Vienna, Florenz, and even Ashgabad in Turkmenistan! I met my husband on this 7 day trip from Dec 23rd thru Dec 29th, 2003 :) He is 3 years younger than I, and has worked for LH as a First Officer since 2002.
Jul05-Jun06: Time off! Moved to Switzerland, got married, bought our black labrador retriever, Chester!
Jul06-NOW: Part-time RN at the Regional Healthcare Center in Baden, Switzerland
