Laura's Story
I married one year after graduating college. We moved to Massachusettes, then to Colorado. Our two children were born in Colorado Springs. They're 21 and 18 now, and making me prouder of them each day. My oldest is at Union College in Nebraska and my youngest is attending high school.
My husband died in 2004 from complications during a heart valve replacement. We moved to Tennessee to be closer to family in 2006.

ith other volunteers at the local hospital. We sing out of an old gospel hymnal. The tunes are awesome - packed with happy, mountain songs. I also sing for church - solos, in groups, and leader. I suppose it sounds strange, but my favorite occasion to sing for is for funerals. I find I can comfort, uplift and strengthen with songs.
