Laura's Story
After all these years, high school days are a lifetime away. I hope everyone's life journey has been memorable. In '67, I headed for Mizzou. and in between freshman and sophomore years, took a few months to travel Europe with girlfriends. I later returned to Mizzou and then transferred to SIU for a year and then on to Univ of MN where I graduated with a BS in Education and BA in Fine Arts. I taught high school in the mid/late 70s in Evansville, IN. I've been somewhat mobile having lived in MO, IL, MN, IN, WI, TX, LA, and London, England. My life's work has primarily been for communications related companies, i.e., ABC affiliate, and a t...Expand for more
op ten educational publisher. In the 1990s, I did volunteer work in Romania and Bulgaria for the Citizens Democracy Corp. My most important life achievement is my daughter, Carla, who is happy and has enjoyed success in her chosen career. I also have a son-in-law, Jeff, who I adore. Several years ago unexpected life circumstances caused me to reinvent myself and found me moving back to KC, where I have worked in middle management for a Fortune 100 company since 2004. I've been lucky to have enjoyed good health through the years. Life has had it's ups and downs but has been, oh, so very interesting. (P.S. Retired 2014 and left KC.)
