I loved the 70's! Drive Ins (Sunset), sneaking out, cheerleading, Marumsco Plaza, the "Strip" ... driving our cars back and forth on the drag strip wasting our gas we just sat in line for hours on Odd/Even days to get, Storybook Land, school rock bands at breaks (They were so good, I wonder if any of them made it big), Manny Moons! Drag Races on Telegraph road, the Manassas-Woodbridge Drag race that brought thousands together, the real "Smoketown (shacktown) Rd., the State streets... before they turned into an embarrassing slum area, 7-11 candy, staying outside with friends from morning til the street lights came on (plenty to do outside in those days of 1 TV per household), building the coolest tree houses, learning how to ride (miserably) a motor cycle... into the thorn bush, Route 1, Marumsco Plaza movie theater... (first kiss... 10 seconds long... Scott Olsen LOL)... Roller Skating (or saying we were going roller skating in Triangle, getting paddled in school (3 times ... OMG how scary that was!! They need to bring that back!) for getting involved (not by choice) in a scuffle with Pam Fontenot and Richard Weinberger... she stabbed his arm with my art knife, LOL how funny, what we remember...
