Laural's Story
So I got out of Trona, went to school for three whole years (Environmental Sciences), came back for a summer job, met my future husband, got married and never left. I married David Zimmerman (class of 72) in 1980. Ended up with two great sons - Neil (class of 03) is now a grad student studying climate and weather at MIT and Dale (class of 06) is now working for our construction company. pment through the ROP program for 6 of those years. I "retired" three years ago, and joined Dave in the business (Zimmerman Building Solutions) full time, handling the paperwork end of the business. We do all kinds of work, but specialize in "renovations of older buildings" (read THS and Trona Plant), and are getting into installing solar photovolatic systems.
Can't believe I'm still in Trona, but the house is paid for and we keep paying our bills, and the winters at least are great!
