Laurel's Story
After working for the Federal Communications Commission for 28 1/2 years, I opted for early retirement in 2005 to spend some time keeping my 2 teenagers headed in the right direction. Had a hard time being away from people and went back to work as the Deputy Chief Clerk for the Adams County Commissioners. Two years were enough in that political environment and now I'm back at home...still looking for a job that serves a purpose! I also help to provide care for my Dad who suffers with Parkinsons.
I'm married to a wonderful, kind, and caring farmer - Dan Wilkinson. We celebrate 18 years of wedded bliss on November 6th. Still live in Gettysburg, although...Expand for more
I've converted to country living instead of York Street.
I have a small business on the side and handpaint inspirational signs and decorate cakes. Occasionally my farmer husband takes some time off and we get to travel. Love the beach and have been on several cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. We took our entire family, including the kids and grandkids, to the Bahamas for my 50th birthday.
I have four children - Andy (30) and his wife Kristi, Dusty (27), Kendall (16) and Ty (14) and four beautiful grandchildren - Braden, Cailey, Chloe and Brookie.
I hope life is treating you well and that God is directing your path. Life is good today! Laurie
