Life I love to write, but will try to make this short and sweet...otherwise, you won't read all of it : ) After I graduated from Cold Spring Harbor High School, I spent four years at SUNY at Oswego. What a blast! I remember it as if it were last week. While there, I switched my major from French teacher to Industrial Arts teacher to my dad's delight and my mom's dismay. A month before I graduated, I was hired by Baltimore County Public Schools in Maryland, and decided I could teach in anywhere for a year before I returned to Long Island....that was 37 years ago! I was the first female shop teacher in Baltimore County (the largest in MD) and the ONLY one for 15 years! It was fun! Over the past years, several females have drifted in and out of the system, but only one or two have remained besides me. I started teaching Wood Shop and Drafting but eventually got Graphic Arts (printing) which I love, along with Computer Graphics. I met a sweetie at 25 and married him at 28. He was 7 years younger than me and we had a wonderful marriage for 6 years. Unfortunately, during year 7, I finally got my own horse (actually, two) and while it was a dream come true for me - it was a nightmare for my husband. We divorced amicably in 1999.
