Lauren's Story
My husband got a job transfer and so our family moved to the Chattanooga, Tn area the end of 1991. We live in an unincorporated area of Hamilton County, called Ooltewah. It's a growing area, as we now have a super Walmart and all the fast food places you can think of. We're right next door to Collegedale, home of Southern Adventist University and McKee Bakery, the makers of all the Little Debbie snack cakes.
Our son (35) married a woman with a sweet little boy, and he's now almost 7. We also have a beautiful grand-daughter who's 2. They're about 25 minutes away from us, which is great, since they used to live in Florida.
I worked in all sorts of customer service jobs for about 28 years, and I finally decided to make a change back in 2001 cause I was tired of coming home stressed and sick. I started working for a chiropractor and he had me get
my license as a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant. I ended up leaving his office and worked for another Chiropractor in 2003....Expand for more
I really liked him and the way he adjusted people. I worked for him until about 3 years ago, when I decided to
basically retire, and I love the freedom.
I have learned how to waste time, which is a big deal for me, because I used to have to be doing something constructive every moment. I have bird feeders and 2 bird baths out back that I tend to everyday. We have 2 inside tabby cats and we rescued a calico cat last Nov and trapped her and got her spayed and all her shots. Now she lives out back on the deck with her own house that has a heating pad for our cold winter days and nights. I even bought a scratching post and a cooling pad for her for these horribly hot, humid summer days. I know, I've become the crazy cat lady.
I see that people are still using Classmates, but I'm not sure why you'd want to pay for something that you can do for free. I'm on Facebook and it seems to be fine. Just ignore the people you don't want to be "friends" with. Not too difficult.
