Laurence's Story
I went as far with my education as a PhD in English literature, with the intention of getting a job in college teaching, but the job market was terrible in the late 1970s. By this time, I was married to a Pennsylvanian, Nancy, and we were living near Princeton while I held down some adjunct teaching jobs and she worked at Educational Testing Service. ion system. That job lasted about 19 years, during which my daughter, Lydia, was born. Being a parent brought me back to Judaism, which I had largely abandoned. For the past 35 years I have been researching and writing career information, first for computer systems, then for books. You can find an Amazon author page for me. As of 2015, I am mostly retired but still crank out the occasional book. I have been living in Titusville, NJ, where Washington crossed the Delaware, for 20 years now.
