Laurie's Story
Hey old classmates!
Here's a short of what I've been doing since 1978 - seems like yesterday!
After graduation, I moved as fast as I could out of Keller to the big city of Dallas where I married the first love of my life and went to work for an insurance company in the middle of downtown. I felt like I had moved to NYC! Divorce #1 at age 24. Married loser husband #2 in 1988, moved to Galveston to live the island life for about five years, then moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, for a short spell.
In 1994, I got homesick for Texas and moved back to Keller. Since then, I've worked for the City of Keller and now hold the role of Internet Analyst / Communications - just a fancy title for Webm...Expand for more
aster, Municipal Cable Producer, and Public Information Officer. Have had a few rough years when my mom died in 2005, and my dad's passing in 2007.
I'm now happily divorced and living single for the first time in my life! Own my house in Keller and am having a blast making up my own rules. People say I look, and definitely act, 15 years younger! Ahhh... and to really fall head over heels in love for the very first time in my life... just from reading and writing love letters to a solider stationed in Iraq. My Sgt. is due home for good after serving 27 years in the Army. I pray every day that all of this madness ends soon and every soldier has someone loving to come home!
