Laurie's Story
Life
My Pets
I have a Papillon Dog named Roxy and a huge mutt names Rocky. I also have a TabyCat named Ginger - Roxy and Ginger wandered into my home via a broken screen door and both loved. Rocky was found wandering downtown Manhattan after the World Trade Center was destroyed. He is also deeply loved.
I have salt water, frsh water and gold fish, I used to name them, but it became easier to say Fish 1, Fish 2...Fish 1000, Fish 1001(Yisgadal, Fishgadal...)
I have two African Tortoises that were supposed to die a few years back (lol) but they keep on living and growing (must have energizer batteries in them) - They are 9 years old and I guess cute. They are a conversation piece in my den. :)
My Kids
My younger son is a real entrepreneur and finds odd job...Expand for more
s all over town to make money. He has a heart of gold and, My older son is an EMT and studying in college. He is also an actor and is always travelling in and out of the city for auditions and shoots. He is curious about the world and knows how to survive and be in the working field.
Both boys make me proud and make me feel lucky and blessed to have them. They are terrific guys. They are also normal and have caused many of the grey hairs on my head!
My Job
I teach public school from 8-3, teach Hebrew School from 4 - 6 and tutor some nights - So my weekdays are busy. I also have to go with my son often to his job (acting), but usually someone else does.
I also have a birthday party business that keeps me busy many weekends and holidays. I love working.
