Laurie's Story

Laurie's schools include Glenwood and Varennes Elementary and Glenlawn Collegiate Institute. After a false start at U of MB in Engineering, earned RCAF Pilots wings in Jan '67 and spent until retirement in Nov '94 flying fast jets -T-33, CF-5, CF-104 and CF-18. Spent the next 11 years in the financial services business and got elected...Expand for more
to Parliament in Jan 2006. Served Edmonton Centre until Oct '15. Along the way married Judy Schroeder from Lowe Farm, MB in '68. One son and one daughter and two grandkids, one of each type. Busy in "retirement" with various Boards - police commission, hospital foundation, veterans issues, political, condo. Cheers to all "Lions".
