Laurie's Story
Laurie is from Seattle, Washington. She is married. Her schools include Shorecrest High School. She later attended Ball State University (Violin, the voice, Music Education), Minot State University (the voice, Music), Indiana University Kokomo (General Studies), Grand Canyon University (Health Care Administration). She works(ed) at Verizon Receivables Management Call Center.

ve any students at the moment, and play at church sometimes, as well as at a local nursing home. I am active in my local music club. lI have been on disability since 2002 because of multiple sclerosis. Before that I was in internal collections for Verizon Communications.
I graduated from Indiana University-Kokomo in 2001 after a two year stint at Ball State University as a music education major. The daily commute (60 miles one way) exacerbated my fatigue from MS and made finishing impossible; however after my husband lost his job in early 2009 I decided to go back to school online so I would have a marketable skill, and toward that end I will graduate in 2012 with a B.S. in health care admin.
My husband and I have lived in Kokomo, Indiana since 1993 with our Cairn Terrier Ellie and Manx cat Stubby. Before that my husband was in the Air Force and we spent a total of nine years in Europe (Belgium, England, and the Netherlands) as well as four years in North Dakota and 3 in South Carolina.
In 2011 we moved to Huntington, Indiana to be closer to his job. I graduated from Grand Canyon University in January 2013, and enrolled in Liberty University Online that spring. I am now working in my master's degree in public health. I anticipate finishing spring if 2015, my health permitting.
