Laurie's Story
Life
Married with two boys, my life is pretty amazing. I work full time and I am an independent consultant for Creative Memories. I also (on an occasion) do some freelance from home. I love to crochet and go to movies with my boys. I am very active in my church. I serve on the church council, I have taught Sunday school, I have directed vacation bible school, and I do most of the graphic design for our church. I love being a mom and wife. My boys think I am pretty nutty (like most people who know me) and I love that they look at me as someone who is a little out there. I never take life too serious and try to laugh and have a good time. Life is too short to get hung up on the small things. May God bless my family and friends and all of you out there.
We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors ... but they all have to learn to live in the same box.
School

ooks. I still keep in touch with my best friend from high school, Kim, but I miss all my other friends. Would love to hear from them.
College
After working as a teller for a local bank, my second child was born and I realized that the money was not worth it. So I quit working and went back to school. I had gone to college right after high school and did miserably. I quit school and got married. I don't regret the marriage but I do regret quitting school. At 24 I finally buckled down and went for my degree. That was the best thing I could have done for myself and my family. Life is now good!
Workplace
I started working for BCBSSC in August of 95. I work in the Corporate Communications Division as a graphic designer. I love the type of I do. After working as a teller for 5 years I realized that the pay just wasn't worth it. So after my second child was born I went back to school and received my associate degree in communications (printing). After some pretty bad jobs I started at BlueCross and I love it. I get to be creative and still am able to work in a corporate setting.
