Lavonda's Story
Well I am now a wife of 14 years to a wonderful caring man, and the mother of four beautiful children. I have a son 12, another son 9, a daughter 5, and another daughter 3. I live in a small town about 2 1/2 hours north of Arlington and I work at a male correctional penitentiary as a correctional officer. I love to sing as I always have, because that is my real passsion in life. It's my gift. On May the 9th I will be going to try out for America's Got Talent...Expand for more
so you guys be rooting me on when I make on the show. Wouldn't THAT be a story, "former female correctional officer becomes next phenom on America's Got Talent". I spent nearly 5 years in the US Navy right out of high school where I recieved the equivalent of a bachelors degree in communications, but since I hated my career path that I had chosen in the Navy, I pursued a different career in criminal justice, so...here I am. That's pretty much it, in a nutshell.
