Lavonna's Story

After high school I stayed in the FB/Carrollton area. I went to work for MOSTEK in 74 where I met the love of my life, Steve Powell. We were married in 1976 and bought our first house in 1977 in Lewisville. Steve became a Plano police officer in 1982 and started their Crime Analysis Unit in 1989. October 2007. I retired after the death of my husband. We were married 32 wonderful years. Our daughter Erin is 25 years old and continuing her education at UNT. She wanted to attend my alma matre-I attended UNT in the late 80's & early 90's, majoring in Computer Science. I plan on staying in our home in Plano for the next few years and pursue a variety of interests and travelling.
