Larry's Story

Lawrence was born in Norfolk, Virginia and lives in West Newton, Massachusetts. He is married with Cynthia K. Bethune and has three daughters and a granddaughter (also a dog named Bailey). He retired from Berklee College of Music after 48 years and was Vice President for 36 years., He is president International Alliance for the Advancement of Scottish Roots Music and its foundation, He worked 18 years for the New England Patriots football team. I just realized that since Cynthia has been working on this trip, I haven't had many pics with her.  Here is one from NYC at the BXL Cafe, a Belgian pub where we had Belgian beer and cider with mussels and frites.  Very nic
This is my father-in-law (my wife Cynthia's father) Lt. Alexander Sergeivich Kananovich (1924-2016).  He is here pictured as an Ensign after he graduated from the U.S. Navy V-12 program at MIT as a nautical engineer.

On the right is my Great Grandfather Corporal Waldo Simon Burdette, my mother's grandfather.  The bugler on the left is unknown to me.  They were in Cuba for this photo in July 1898 during the Spanish-American War.
