Lawrence's Story
Life
I am a Registered Architect, self-employed, living and working in the "Swamps of Jersey" (there are no swamps in Bergen County). I have just turned 57 and have to say "WTF"! I am married to my lady, Eileen(makes it 26 1/2 years this past November) with two boys, Jeremy- 21 years old (he starts 1st semester of senior year in college in September, 2010, he's studying to become a high school history teacher, and he is voting) and Adam- will be 18 years old in June(almost done with 12th grade, studying Physics so he can become a Civil Engineer). I had coached soccer for my guys. Both my wife and I are involved with the community and the school (of course, ya got kids, ya get involved........ it kinda kills the ol' partyin' spirit of the 'Before Kids' era). Our 7 year old ferocious puppy is Coco Puff, another shitz tzu (after Ling, our first, we kinda get hooked to the breed), and another bed warmer, has her own personality. She has a habit of sneaking into rooms and stealing beany babies and socks,but now she has about 20 stuffed animals of her own that occupy her bed (think ET in the closet), and is addicted to socks. She is very cute when she does these things. I still work long, crazy hours, trying to keep many clients happy and trying to pay those never ending bills. That's the life of an Architect.... at least this Architect. My wife used to be in advertising, buying TV and radio time for clients. Now she takes care of the kids, does stain glass design (she minored in art in college), and is now a teacher's aide working with autistic children at one of our town's schools. And if you look in the yearbook, I really don't look or act like I did at OHS. And if you remember Mr. Ellis's homeroom and Mr. Odulak's physic's class.... it's gotten very foggy back there in the recesses of this mind. ...Expand for more

Oh yeah, to get down right political.... WE VOTED TO RESTORE OUR 1ST AMENDMENT RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH THAT BUSH STOLE FROM US!!!! Now Obama has muddled through with Congress in trying to fix the Bush mess, like removing warrantless wiretaps,which violates the 4th Amendment. Obama needs to give us a way to fix (and we may need to tell him how) the environment, the Iraqis, the Israelis, New Jerseyeans, New Yorkers, Gays, Lesbians, Pot Heads, Free Speechers, the First Amendment, the 2nd Amendment, the 3rd Amendment, Sammy Davis Jr, Hush Puppies, David Crosby, Bill Cosby, the FBI, the CIA, England, Germany, France, and everyone else and send Bush's corporate cronies one GIANT SHAFT. As Bill Clinton said and it still goes that way..... "It's the ECONOMY, STUPID!!!" Add to this single payer health care..... expand Medicare/Medicaid for all. It's cheaper and it already works. Just make the doctors honest and maybe send them to med school for free so they don't have college bills to pay. Maybe we should do that for teachers, too. Just don't do it for lawyers and career politicians. We still have to fix health care!!!!
Get involved and get active. Freedom is more than just another word for nothing left to loose. Make Barack Obama the first Jewish.... er, I mean African-American President (hey, in Hebrew, Barack means lightning). It is the most precious thing we own and THIS CURRENT President and his possible heir-apparent, John McCain, wants to steal even more from us. They don't want to shut down the Eron Loophole, which has allowed the speculators on Wall Street to force gas to over $143 a barrel, and $4 a gallon for regular at the gas pump. Stand up for your rights and fight. Stand shoulder to shoulder with our trucker brethren and shut down the corruption.
