Went 3 years to Fayetteville-Manlius ('65-'65), then transferred and graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy in '67. Went to Hawthorne College in NH for 4 years, Graduated with a BS in Business Administration, minors in Economics, Poli Sci, and Eng Lit.
Married a wonderful woman from Syracuse, and have 2 great kids. A daughter who teaches Health and Sex Ed. A son who is in college and studying to be a Phy Ed Teacher and Lacrosse Coach.
I have worked on manufacturing (Cooper Crouse-Hinds) for 28 years, and retail off and on over the years.(See Workplace)
I went into the Navy when I was 32 and received my commission as an Ensign. I spent 4 years on active duty onboard the USS Newport (LST 1179), where I held posistions as DCA and CIC/Intel Officer. I made 3 trips to the Med. and visited a number of European and African Countries (my favorites are Italy and Spain, but enjoyed them all). I then joined the Naval Reserves and was mobilized in '90 for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, where I spent 7 months in Naples, It as Adimin Officer for all mobilized reservists assigned to Naples Command (where we sent people out to Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Bahraine to man forward logistic sites). I retired from the Navy in June of 2001 as a LCDR after 20 years. i have held positions as Division Officer and Department Head in Engineering, Operations, Administration and Training. I was also the Commanding Officer of the Volunteer Training Unit for a Year.
I live in Bridgeport, NY (just outside Syracuse) on Oneida Lake, and enjoy boating, fishing and working on my property.
Hoping to talk with old class mates, even ones I barely new... never to late to make friends. Best wishes to everyone, and send me an e-mail, always happy to talk to friends.

Workplace
I have worked on manufacturing (Cooper Crouse-Hinds) for 28 years. Started as a laborer in the non-ferrous foundry and within a year moved to production inventory control planner, then Production Control Planner of various production lines. Then made a change to Quality Control in the various foundry operations (Iron, Aluminum, and Sand core). Took a break in '81-'85 to get a commission in the Navy, then returned to Cooper.Crouse-Hinds where I became a Quality Control Inspector for parts and final assemblies. Over the years was promoted to Quailty Analyst, responsibel for not only inspection of products, but investigating non-conforming materials and failed products to determine cause and corrective action. Was a memberof the Quality Assurance Review Board and reviewed and wrote Manufacturing, Inspection and Testing Procedures. I designed and made some parts and testing equipment. For awhile I was responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical testing equipment. At the same time I was working parttime for Radio Shack as the unofficial Night Manager (because I had been a store Manager in '73-'74) and my bosses respected my knowledge and ability. Also, one weekend a month, and 2 weeks a year, I was drilling with my Naval Reserve Unit.

So, I am currently retired from the Naval Reserve and retired from business.
