Lawrence's Story
With our 50th reunion coming up, it's been an interesting reflection on all the years. Pretty easy to summarize: graduated from Oklahoma University; immediately served as an officer for three years in the Army, including a tour in Viet Nam; worked for the Mayor and City Council of Los Angeles for 30 years; picked up a couple of advanced degrees in public administration; raised two boys, mostly as a single parent (both living in Washington DC - one ...Expand for more
as a chief of staff to a congressman and the other for the State Department); and have been retired now for 12 years. Somewhere in between I've skied in lots of countries, backpacked to many nights, peddled hundreds of miles at a time, flown lots of different aircraft, traveled the world including some pretty remote spots, and have managed to live to tell about it. And, I'm still driving my 1970 Chevy. Here's hoping you had as much fun as I've had.
