Lawrence's Story
After High School worked at both Harvester and Interlake Steel. Got drafted, U.S. Army, went to Viet Nam, came home all in one piece. Became a Drill Sgt., at Fort Knox, Kentucky where I met my wife, Debbie, who was visiting her sister and husband that was also stationed there. Returned to Harvester. Got married at St Anthony's Church in 1972. Been married over 40 years now. Debbie has lots of patience. Quit Harvester became Police Officer in Calumet Park. Quit Cal Park and went to work for Burlington Northern RR as a Patrolman in Cicero. Then to Omaha,Ne., Houston, Tx.,(Special Agent) Tulsa, Ok. and then Lincoln, Ne. (Both assigned as Special Agent In Charge) Certified Peace Officer in those states.
During that time we had three children, two boys and one girl. One son passed in 1976. Son, Eric works in Tulsa and daughter Laura lives in Lincoln. Have a coup[e of Granddaughters, Alyse and Kayli.
Went to school at Morraine Community College, then University of Houston. Still working on a degree. Oh Well.

what is now BNSF Ry in Feb. 2010 and moved to Grove, Oklahoma.
Currently living what is called the "GRAND LIFE" at Grove, Oklahoma, best secret around. Grand Lake of the Cherokees, 1300 miles of shoreline, about 75 miles NE from Tulsa, about 40 SW from Joplin Mo and about 90 miles from Sprinfield, Mo (Branson area). Watersports, fishing, golf, and just plain having some fun. Currently member of Grand Lake Sail and Power Squadron( On their Board), On Board of Directors for Lendonwood Gardens, also do volunteer work there weekly. (Check out the Web Site), Member of the Grove Rotary Club- Responsible for placing 100 US Flags on the Cities main streets on Holidays. On Board for the Deep Water Marina, a privately owned marina on Carey Bay, at gernad lake. Volunteer at the YMCA. Hopefully will motivate me to excerise more.
Continually go back to the Chicago area to visit friends and relatives. Pick up my sausage, Italian beef and stuff at Rabino's in Tinley Park about once every three to four months. No place like home for that.
