Lawrence's Story
After graduation I attended BYU in Utah for a year. I entered the US Navy in 1973 and spent 4 years as a Dental Technician in Monterey, CA. It was a beautiful place. I made many good friends there.
Following my release from the Navy in 1977 I returned to Las Vegas. I attended UNLV for a year. In that time I met and fell in love with Barrie Koch. She was a fellow classmate at Clark whom I had never met until after the military. We met on a blind date. We have been married for over 41 years with four children and six grandchild.
In 1978 I returned to Provo with my new wife and went back to BYU with the intention of either a Pre-Dental or Pre-Veterinary focus. I attended school off and on until 1986 when I was accepted to Dental School at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. In the time from 78-86 Barrie and I had four children. ghters. My youngest daughter was born three days before we packed up the Ryder truck to move to Virginia.
Following my graduation from Dental School in 1990, I served with the Indian Health Service in Lower Brule, SD. That was a great experience that I will never forget.
In 1993 I returned to Las Vegas to try to establish a private practice, and my family followed six months later after selling the house in South Dakota. My wife and I currently reside in Summerlin.
I started my Las Vegas practice in 1994 and maintained my practice in the same location for twenty years. In 2014 I joined Abbey Dental as the Dental Director.
I would love to hear from any old friends. With my fuzzy old brain I hope I can remember everyone. HaHa.
I enjoy playing with computers, riding my motorcycles, being with my wife, children and grandchildren. And of course I love my work!
