Lawrence's Story
I retired in October of 2009 after 36 plus years with the U.S. Postal Service. Not too many regrets there. Lots of exercise and good money and retirement benefits. Siting at a desk and crunching numbers never was of interest to me. After retirement I did a few home improvement projects with my nephew and my Son. Kevin is my one and only Son who lives in Grand Rapids with his wife Jessica and my two Grandaughters Wesli who is 8 and their adopted daughter Melat (from Ethiopia) who is 4 I am divorced and own a condo in Northern Illinois. Mercury launches when class was halted and a TV was rolled into class as we got to see Shepard and Glen? What truly amazes me is the fact that as I write this I realize the brevity of our lives. Just a breath. Nevertheless I look ahead with anticipation and a sense of excitement of what is to come. Each day is a gift and I continue to be grateful for the life that God has given me when there are so many who are younger that are no longer with us. I'm on facebook. I have read comments that many are not pleased with the way that Classmates.com bleeds subscribers of their money. I miss the 40 cent chuck wagon lunch and still have nightmares of the Monday cheeseburgers. Take care all you 72 grads.
