Layth's Story
I always have fond memories of Crete Monee and our class of '78. Speaking of school-related life, that has been mine since HS. I went the University of Chicago to get my bachelor's degree (dual bachelor degrees). Proceeded to get my MBA from the University of Chicago and if that wasn't enough I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. No, it wasn't enough. I obtained "on the side" a master's degree in computer science of DePaul University.
While working on my Ph.D., I taught at Loyola University. From there, I ended up at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) in 1988 where I have been a professor ever since. Profe...Expand for more
ssionally, I teach (MBA, EMBA and undergraduate) classes, I write scientific articles, and I have written a few books. You can find all this stuff nowadays with Google searches.
So, am I all academic nerd? I actually have a life. Academic life affords me the flexibility to travel which I very much enjoy (particularly, international travel). Europe several times, China, Morocco, etc. I enjoy working out and fighting Father time (at least think I am). And most importantly I spend time with my family which includes 3 adult children.
It is nice to have some FB friends from the class of '78 to see how life has been treating them.
