Lea's Story
Out of H.S.worked as a dental assistant then married high school sweetheart Peter Scelfo in 1967..moved to VA for four years while Pete attended Georgetown University Dental School..came back in '71 with a diploma and three kids..settled in WB near families..'73 bought a house in WB/Babylon Village area south of Montauk..added two more kids to family circle..first three were girls..next two boys....all children attended WB school district and then UConn,Stonybrook,Dowling,Farmingdale,Nassau..all all my girls are married and enjoyed their classic weddings... my boys both have significant partners to date...we are blessed with 13 grandchildren and I taught them all to call me "Grandma Pretti"..nine live in Babylon..one in Hampton Bays..and three in PA..I divide my time between the children's activites ...Expand for more
and Pete's practice in Farmingdale.. ..we're into boating..Pete's a deep sea fishing junkie and I'm a F.I. family outing fan..we like to vacation on islands and enjoy cruises and gambling visits to Atlantic City and CT..we're pro Jets (pathetic) and Yankee fans..family celebrations are numerous,noisy and fun..anyone who complains gets duct taped and thrown out!..I've stayed in touch with my H.S. buddies Betty Jean Palmieri (Intini) Valerie Smith (Cordiale) and Rebecca Friedman (Bellinato) in fact this time last year we all went on a memorable and lots of laughs European tour to celebrate our 60th YIKES birthdays collectively..I'm saddened by the passing of our classmates throughout the years and think of them often...Shout out and hello from our house to all who read this never ending story..xo Lea
