Life
Born in Bronx, married and moved to Westchester Cty, Queens, Long Island, San Juan, PR, Manhattan, San Juan, Caracas Venezuela, Pittsburgh, England (Surrey), Scarsdale NY, London (for past 15 years). Just became British Citizen. Was wife of Corporate husband. Mother of 2 sons. One now in Asheville NC, other in Seattle. One grandson. Worked as medical claims investigator, Writer of Third World Books, Asst Editor, Real Estate, personnel, office manager, teacher of Creative Writing & Thinking, Advanced Creative Writers Wkshp. Started Art Students League in San Juan. Moved to London 1989 second time. Had play produced in Central London. Have partner but would like to meet people living in London. Creative people with good sense of humour. Male and female, single, married, old, young. Desperate for Yank sense of humour!
Workplace
Founded and was first president of Art Students League in San Juan. Wrote play produced at Grace Theatre, Battersea, London, called 'Short Stay' based on real upstate motel. Now working in London for Islington Victim Support, helping victims of abuse and harrassment. Also for the Royal Courts of Justice in the Personal Support Unit (PSU) helping litigants in person, get through their day. Worked as a keyworker in a refuge in Central London for victims of domestic violence. Ran writing and creative thinking workshops. Have 2 grown wonderful sons, a great partner and 3 fab cats. Live in central London. Near Westminster Cathedral. Stop by if you're in the neighbourhood!

I don't mind- just want to know. I need to write a novel if I'm gonna get anywhere. Running a poetry performance cabaret is okay but not really my thing. I just do it cos it makes people happy. Am still working for Citizens Advice Bureau, but in Petersfield instead of London.
Do any of you know any people who write, who live in Hampshire. I need good friends with NY sense of humour!

2019. I made contact with Irene who is now Irene Kiar Berman and we keep in touch through Skype. It's lovely to contact old friends.
This year is rather special for me. The Art Students League (La Liga de Arte de San Juan), that I Founded in 1968 is now celebrating its 50th anniversary. The school is one of the most popular and prestigious schools in Puerto Rico. I have been invited to attend all their celebrations in August but i'm not sure if I'm going or not, yet. But just knowing that something you started is still in existence because of a dream and an idea you had, is a great feeling! I've been getting emails from the present Director of the school as well as several other members of the Board. I must admit it makes me feel very proud that I made it happen! And the building it's in is magnificent. Two levels, with gardens in the centre. All the art workshops have doors that face into the centre. You can look up their website. (Liga Del Arte de San Juan). I saw it when I was there on its 25th anniversary.
