I'm keeping it real in The Bronx, the only borough of New York City that is hardscrabble enough to take a definite article. I'm finishing up a PhD in English, and my dissertation is on gothic novels--go figure.

the northeast and several moves within that area (I even lived in New Jersey), more school, an ill-advised marriage. The usual.
Now, I am underpaid, overeducated, happily childfree, sadly dogless, living in sin, and having trouble sleeping at 3:30AM. It's either this or a crossword puzzle. I really love Bob Dylan. I miss real Tex-Mex. I wish I could sleep.
