Leah's Story
I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grow up!!!! I have spent all of this time trying to figure it out but the mystery was solved moment my first grandchild arrived. I was born to be a Grandma or "Gammo" as my grandbabies call me! LOL
I have been happily married for almost 15 years to a man for truly resembles Mr. Clean only without the earring! LOL We live in Tulsa. We have a uniquely blended family consisting of 5 children, he brought 3 sons into our marriage, I brought one daughter and later we acquired another daughter. Our children are now grown so we reap the benefits in the form of grandchildren...whom I believe are God's reward for not killing my kids when they were growing up!
I medically retired from computer training in 1998 due to Multiple Sclerosis. I live to be a survivor not a vic...Expand for more
tim. I am in remission and doing VERY WELL!!! And I thank God for that daily.
I spend most of my time either reading or chasing grandchildren. I do occasional volunteer work for a couple of non-profit organizations just to keep my communications skills up so I can converse with people older than the age of 5! LOL
I have to admit that I have gotten older and oftentimes don't recognize the person looking back at me in the mirror but proud to say that I have stood my grounds, fought the battle and have refused to completely grow up! ;o)
40 years later, Leann Weins and I are still best friends. She too has been married for 15 years as she was my maid of honor and her husband proposed to her the day of my wedding...they the got married 2 weeks later! A fun story we will get to share with our grandchildren.
