Lee's Story

Life Life has been a wonderful adventure that keeps revealing itself. Along the way I have discovered so much about myself. After 18 years of marriage, beginning in grad school, and raising three daughters, that relationship ended colorfully. Today, I am in love with a beautiful, young woman who continues to fascinate me, continues to make me laugh and is forever revealing her brilliance. Ours is a marriage of 14 years. We have two amazing daughters, ages 11 and 12. That makes a total of five daughters. I am very lucky, indeed. This ongoing journey includes many fascinating people, priceless friendships, and wonderful discoveries about myself through others. I suspect my personal path has been energized by my commitment to choose a life fully lived, with life affirming passion (good genes probably helped). Now in my 60s, I still inline skate, snowboard, swim, bike and go gyming (wife's term) etc. A few mottos I live by: Appreciate the absurdities of life. Laugh at yourself whenever possible. NEVER take yourself too seriously. Seize the day. Make a difference. Have a purpose greater than yourself. Seek harmony. Joy is our natural state of being. Believe in miracles. No matter what, choose happiness. Respect everyone. Be inspired. Thanks. To reach me type in the name ...Expand for more

The privilege of working with enthusiastic teens has added purpose to an already full life. This is no job, it is a calling filled with challenge, discovery, lots of laughter and the most amazing artwork created by high schoolers. As a teacher and professional artist, I am still inspired by the work produced by my students. Needless to say, after teaching for over two decades, it is gratifying to see graduates successfully employed in the Visual Arts field in careers as designers, architects, illustrators, animators, studio directors, film editors, film directors, auto designers, graphic designers, furniture designers, digital imaging artists, product designers, fashion designers, web designers, fine artists and art teachers. Yes, just like me, several became high school art teachers, too! I love this career! The kids provide the daily entertainment and I serve as the catalyst for aesthetic problem solving. Most importantly, I am allowed the gift of making a difference. My other career is as a fine artist specializing in oils. My work is sold in Vancouver, B.C. and Honolulu, Hawaii. I've also done murals, and some art for internet companies.
