Lee Ann's Story

Still Married 34 years. Four children - his, mine and ours.5 grandchildren - only 1 granddaughter. Live with 2 dogs, 6 hens and 6 roosters (separate quarters, lol), deer, turkey, etc. on a lil piece of God's Heaven. Lived in Texas and New York. Competed in 3 preliminary beauty pageants - 2 post high school, 3rd post marriage. Didn't Win, Place or Show but by golly I showed up and did my thing! Got schooled in Medical Assistant training at Dorsey Schools. Moved from St. Clair Shores/Eastpointe 7 years ago. Presently battling husbands Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis since September 2018. Hopefully I will remain here the rest of my days as it's very peaceful. UPDATE: June 14, 2019 My Dear Husband lost his battle to Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer 9 days before my birthday. Feels as though my right arm is missing and I am in a stupor. ere Best Friends. I am proud to say that I have finished my Wedding Vows with my husband. I will see him again when I see him. I will be receiving Stem Cell Therapy in September for my knees. My knees are my enemies. Update September 2020 SO HERE WE ARE: One year later...stem cell injection on right knee took pretty well AFTER 5 weeks of immense pain but I got through it. All was good until I took a few spills and aggravated the darn thing but I am still up and moving in some pain but sometimes I do feel like the Rolling Stones song that sang "what a drag it is getting old".... . May be getting another stem cell injection in left knee within the next year. However, I would rather seek a non surgical method of living with knee osteoarthritis. Still miss my husband, my best friend but I am reminiscing about all the 34 years we were together. Just can't believe how fast 34 years flew by.
