Lee's Story
Seems like 100 years since high school. I've missed the last few reunions but will definitely be at the next one in 2017. I remember high school girlfriends: Sheryl, Myra and Janice. I remember a boyfriend, too: Robert. I can't remember the name of a single teacher. Memory's not what it used to be.
About me then: Lee Ann Bledsoe, 5'5" and overweight. Fairly good student with few friends and a limited social life--I was really overwieght. I had 1 boyfriend in high school. Robert. I still remember how amazed I was when he asked me out. My first date. It was right after chemistry class. I don't imagine many of my former classmates will remmeber me; I'm having a difficult time remembering much about me back then, too.
About me now: I'm 62 though my driver's license suggests I'm only 61. For some long-forgotten reason I decided to remain 36 for 2 years and lied about my age. That was way before Homeland Security so somehow I got away with it. I wish I had been moe forward thin...Expand for more
king and taken at least 5 years off. 1 year? Go figure. Anyway, I live with my 2 dogs in Ocean Park, Washington and love it here. I'm divorced--several times--I used to get married a lot. However I stopped doing that 20 or so years ago, a few years after I stopped drinking. Yep, I turned into one of those. Once I stopped getting married every other year, I went back to school and got a masters degree in sociology. Since then, I've worked primarily with the "Gravely Disabled" and DMIO (dangerously mentally ill offenders) populations, or did until a very sweet client beat the crap out of me last May. I'm still recovering from the assault and thinking about working in a different field when I return to work. I write for a couple greeting card companies now and have just finished writing a book I call "Elsewhere." But probably the thing that I'm proudest of is that my kids like me I like them, too. (I have a lot of characters remaining--some 18,000+ so will write more later.)
