Lee Brandau:  

Life Graduated from HS in 1972 and joined the Navy in 1973 as a Corpsman. Stationed at Philly Naval Hospital until December 1975 when I transferred to a ship in SC. Traveled to England, Germany, Paris, Amsterdam, Norway, Belgium and went above the Arctic Circle in 1976. Discharged in 1977 from Bath Iron Works dry dock. Started with H. Warshows and Sons in 1977 until they went out of business in 2005. Worked the last 17 years there as a supervisor in the Finishing Department under Wayne Meckley. Lost that job in April of 2005 due to downsizing and worked on a machine until August when we all clocked out for the last time on the 9th. Started with working for Norfolk Southern railroad in November of that year as a Conductor. Went to GA for Engineer school in October 2010 and after 30 days of classroom/simulator training started 6 months of OJT. Received my certification at the end of May of 2011 and was promoted in July to Engineer. I now run as a Conductor on one of the locals that run out of Northumberland, PA. Occasionally they call me to run as Engineer, too, but not too often. Only when they run out of Engineers. Great job to have but the company isn't very well managed.....pretty...Expand for more
