I love that you can get in your car and be surrounded by wildlife in minutes. I find harbor seals and grey seals quite fascinating - especially when you see some of the ways they balance on the rocks while sleeping.
I can't seem to stop shooting owls. I've really enjoyed having them around all winter and know they will eventually leave.
I don't mind working inside, but I love being outdoors. While doing my office work on my deck, I had this beautiful hummingbird flying all around - made the morning go by so much faster.
Hiking with the grandkids yesterday on the rail trail - we seem to have formed a photo club! Jack, Cody and Sydney are lots of fun together.
Sydney snapped this great picture of a hawk in flight while hiking on the rail trail in Newburyport.
Sydney's hummingbird at my feeder - takes a lot of patience and a steady hand to capture these tiny speedsters!
Next week is another Teens Only week for our Coastal Discoveries program. We really enjoy the teens - they are doing something they love to do with many great kids. We do have 2 spots open for next week - 7-21 through 7-2
Sydney (our granddaughter) with her first haddock - caught this morning while out with our Coastal Discoveries program aboard the Erica Lee II. Photo by Capt. Bob - her proud "Bampa".....
There is nothing like paddling around the Shoals with good friends - Sue in the stern and Misty in the Bow. That schnauzer girl likes to be in a kayak as much as I do!
A grand finale to last night's fireworks - thank you Newburyport and Happy 250th Birthday!
Sydney has been playing soccer this summer and received 2 awards tonight. One for participating in the games and the other one for the most goals!! :)
After taking this picture yesterday while at Wingaersheek Beach, I found myself humming "Angels Falling too close to the Ground". Thank you Willie!
This is for you Martha Bramley Hills
Three generations of Yeomans ladies! Taken aboard the Erica Lee II while transporting Bob's nephew and his new bride to Plum Island to exchange their vows before heading to PITA Hall for their reception.
Our granddaughter Sydney with her cousin Gabe aboard the Erica Lee II.
A view from the Merrimack River of the annual "Riverfest" concert series in downtown Newburyport. Over 10,000 people arrived by car, bike, foot, and boat!
Sydney has had one of the best summers ever - going to sea with her grandfather - "Bampa" - with our Coastal Discoveries program. Bob called me from the boat today to let me know that Sydney put the bait on her hook, let t
My cousin's daughter, Meghan, is here for the week from Maine to do Coastal Discoveries. Here's lesson #1 - lobster tastes great on the day you get to help pull the traps. Add local corn, fresh melon and a cucumber salad
I would say that the kids on the Erica Lee II are having themselves a wonderful day - catching dinner and watching whales! We love sharing our Coastal Discoveries program with so many kids.
TBT - some 30 or so years ago. Different boat - same love of the ocean!
