Lee's Story
My name is actually Lee. I dropped my first name legally right out of high school. I would probably be remembered mostly for "looking like a lost puppy" in high school. As a transgendered individual I was desperate to be done with high school.
After graduation I moved to Gig Harbor for four years, worked for Boeing, and vacationed in Hawaii in '78 & '79. After earning an AAS from TCC I moved to L.A. for eight years.
While there I worked as a draftsman/designer for an engineering firm (in "The Valley") before moving on to an animation position within the movie industry (for a company in Marina del Rey). I continued my education in L.A. as full-time student.
My major in college was graphic design during my junior and senior years at CSUN. I also studied; electro-mechanical d...Expand for more
rafting/design for two years (tech. school); and Commercial Art for two years (private art school).
Between work and school I divided my leisure time between Malibu and Santa Barbara soaking up the sun, partying in West Hollywood, and mingling with the rich and famous.
After years of fun-in-the-sun I found myself back on the Kitsap Peninsula where I was employed as a graphic designer and freelance designer for many years until recently.
I graduated 1 1/2 years ago with a B.A. in Digital Technology and Culture from WSU Tri-Cities, and work as a multi-media designer for a design firm in the Kennewick, WA.
I am also an avid civil rights activist dedicated to confronting religious ignorance at every turn, whether in college or on the streets.
Stay strong and fight back!
