Lee's Story
Life
Brief update for those of you who weren't with me the last 25 years: attended KU, graduated with an MA in English in '82. Began as a junior working with the Southwestern Company, and amazingly, I'm still with this organization. Interesting career....Oh, and I got married (to Deb Aus). She migrated from WI, and she is now a physician at Vanderbilt Health Services. We live in Brentwood, south of Nashville, and have 3 great kids: Luke (23), Kelsey (21), and Katie (16). All is well; we have been blessed.
College
Left Wichita, and went to Lawrence to become a Jayhawk...I managed to join...Expand for more
a fraternity: Beta Theta Pi. Decided to major in astronomy and meteorology until I hit spherical trigonometry and stellar plasma physics....ouch. Discovered I was not wired for calculus, so I took a severe turn into English. Successfully completed my college career in '82. Oh, and that was with a Masters in English (not a seven year undergrad stint). Whilst earning my M.A. (did you like "whilst"?), I was a lecturer in the department, and Administrative Assistant.
Later, I rerouted myself away from a PHd path, and left academia for....(read other bio for the rest of this exciting tale).
