Lee's Story
Living a beautiful life in Austin, Texas. More info and photos on Facebook: Lee Williams-Miller
FAMILY: My husband, James, and I live about 2 miles from the UT campus on the East Side. Also living in Austin is my sister, Len von Bieberstein, and her partner, Joanie Watson; my daughter Nikki and her husband, Ian Stahl, and their daughter, Marian; my son Joshua and his wife, Kelly, and their daughters Katie, Lizzie and Maddie; and my son Joseph and his significant other, Jen.
THINGS I LOVE:
On a cold winter's eve, James and I cuddling up with our two standard poodles, Jax and Maggie, (when they are fresh from the groomers!), our very cold natured dachshund, Thor, and finally, Zelda, our amazing hair tie retrieving cat. (We have a very large couch.)
Sitting back in a quiet corner at family gatherings watching my lovely grown children with families of their own and allowing myself to be transported to the past when they were young and just starting out on this journey called life, and then courageously look...Expand for more
ing to the future and the rest of their journey. I guess you could summarize and say I love looking at my children through the lens of the past, present and future.
THINGS I LIKE: Sitting in our front yard swing and just being in the moment.
THINGS I DON'T LIKE: Sitting in our front yard swing and worrying about stuff.
THINGS I'M NOT SURE ABOUT: Non-boil pasta
FAVORITE QUOTE: "Love is or it ain't. Thin love ain't love at all." Toni Morrison
FACTS ABOUT MY LIFE:
Education: Computer Science degree from St. Edward's University, 1988. (I enrolled when my youngest child started preschool.)
Work Experience:
Professor's Assistant - St. Edward's University
Computer Programmer - IBM, Network Computing Devices, Tivoli
Administrative Assistant - Central Christian Church, Austin
Licensed Minister on Staff at United Christian Church: Spirituality and Pastoral Care
Other: I've always considered myself a small town girl who grew up in a big city. Most of my Texas accent was teased out of me by my college friends.
